An English linen press with carved and dentil-molded cornice, carving surrounding the crotch mahogany paneled doors, and a carved waist. Standing on ogee bracket feet.
A Chippendale period mahogany linen press with blind fret carving on the doors, surrounding the drawers, and on the feet. With brass lifting bales on the sides.
An English mahogany linen press with highly figured timbers and low-waisted proportions. The color has a pale, mellow tone.

An Italian walnut cabinet with elaborately shaped cornice surmounted by turned finials. The two shaped paneled doors conceal fixed shelving. On later bun feet.
An English oak court cupboard. The geometric molded panels of the upper section carved with Tudor roses. The geometric paneled doors of the lower section surrounded by foliate carved stiles.
An English oak hanging corner cupboard with an arched, paneled door framed in a thickly molded surround. The interior with fixed, shaped shelves. Retaining a superb color and patina.

Chests on Chest  
An exceptional burl walnut chest on chest with superior color and patination, lovely proportions, and in original condition.
 

Commodes  
A mahogany step commode with inset leather lined surfaces on the steps and retaining the original ring handles. Standing on turned legs ending in brass cup casters. The pot chamber converted into a drawer.
 

Breakfronts more
A Regency period breakfronted bookcase with brass grilled doors to the upper section. Built of lovely, figured mahogany timbers. The cupboard doors of thick, paneled construction. With adjustable shelves in both the upper and lower sections.
An extremely long bookcase of double-breakfronted form. Rare for the use of exceedingly figured yew wood veneers throughout. The astragals of the 12-pane glazed doors are fashioned out of solid yew. With an outswept cornice featuring a strip of thumbnail molding above dentil-molding. The waist embellished with a band of blind fretwork in the form of connected diamonds and rings. Retaining a lovely color and patina.
A fantastic quality English library bookcase on a grand scale. The molded cornice with a half-round band of floral and acanthus leaf carving on a dimpled ground. A wide panel of mahogany just below the cornice is centered by crisply executed carving depicting assorted flowers and oak branches tied at the center with ribbon. The upper section of the bookcase consists of open, fixed shelving flanked by twist-reeded columns just above a row of drawers. The central drawer of each section is again crisply carved with a floral motif. The paneled cupboard doors of the lower section conceal a fitted interior of fixed shelves and drawers bearing turned, ebonized handles. Each section of the lower portion also flanked by twist-reeded columns. The quality of construction throughout is of the highest quality. Provenance: Repton School, Derbyshire. Signed and Dated in pencil: J Gardiner, 11 October 1834, Hadleigh, Suffolk.

Secretaries more
Mahogany glazed door bureau bookcase standing on ogee bracket feet.  The broken arch pediment having open fret carving and dentil moulding.
English burl walnut veneered mirror door cabinet, having a top drawer pull out writing slide and two shaped and beveled mirror plates.  Excellent color and quality of veneers.
An English Queen Anne black japanned and gilt secretary retaining all the original decoration. One mirror plate original, one later. Attributed to John Coxed, London.

A Dutch burl walnut display cabinet standing on tapered legs ending in bun feet and connected by thick, veneered stretchers. With a wonderful color. The handles are old replacements.
A glazed door mahogany bookcase. With blind fret carved Greek key motif in the cornice and interlocking circles on the waist.

Chests of Drawers more
A Chippendale period mahogany kneehole chest with rococo handles and raised on ogee bracket feet. The cock-beading around the drawers is carved to look like braided rope. Also with blind fret decoration on the frieze drawer as well as the canted corners. Exceptional color and patina. Wonderfully figured veneers.
A Dutch burl walnut chest of drawers of smaller size. The shaping of the drawer fronts reflects the shaping of the top. With the unusual feature of the deep bottom drawer which is carved with a stylized fan or shell. The figured veneers are of the highest quality as is the color and patina.
An English marquetry chest with a lovely, mellow color. The drawers inlaid with vignettes of floral marquetry surrounded by burl walnut. The top and sides inlaid with scenes featuring perched parrots.

Chests on Stand
A Queen Anne period chest on stand with a shaped apron outlined with beading. The turned legs connected by shaped stretchers. The drawers cross-banded in yew wood.
 

Low Cabinets more
An Italian solid walnut credenza with thick paneled doors flanked by styles with a bit of foliate carving. The canted corners and sides are incised with shaped designs. The thick top sits just above a row of dentil molding.
A marble-top side cabinet, the flame-mahogany door carved with acanthus leaf clasps and flanked by fluted pilasters which are carved with rosettes and surmounted by shells. Standing on gadrooned feet.
An oak buffet with concave side sections. The two main doors centered by crisply carved flower heads. With overlapping trefoils flanking each door. One of which slides to reveal the keyhole.
