A good Spode dessert service comprised of a round sauce tureen on flaring foot with cover and stand; a pair of fluted, shell-shaped dishes with handles; a pair of small double-handled serving dishes; and twelve dessert plates, all with pale yellow-ground bands extensively-decorated with burnished gold scrolls and curlicues enclosing finely-painted topographical views, primarily of Scotland. Marked in black SPODE. Seventeen pieces total, all with gilt gadrooned rims. The views are labeled on the reverse: Eltham Bridge; Tambr.
