A padouk veneered bureau bookcase with arched mirrored doors. The upper section with a shaped top outlined with a well-molded walnut cornice. The fall-front opens to reveal a mahogany veneered writing surface with shaped drawers and a central door. The central door flanked by "secret" doors fronted by Corinthian pilasters with giltwood capitals and bases. The bombe-shaped three-drawer base is raised on finely carved paw feet. Retaining a lovely, mellow color and patina. Constructed to come apart into three pieces.
