Mahogany Cupboard with Eglomise Panels
A mahogany estate cupboard with unusual blue eglomise panels adorning the cornice. The swan neck pediment is centered by an oval eglomise panel which bears the name of the cabinet's original owner: John Todd of Wigton. Just below the pediment is a band of Gothic blind fretwork panels alternating with eglomise panes. The figured mahogany doors are applied with a brass molding. The rounded corners of the base are inlaid with boxwood. Retaining the original handles. Some glass panes are cracked but stable.
