Oak Dresser and Rack on Carved Cabriole Legs
An oak dresser and rack of terrific quality. The frieze below the cornice and the apron below the drawers are shaped and pierced with heart shapes. The drawers are cross-banded and retain the original oval back-plate handles. The cabriole front legs have a bit of carved fluting at the knees. The three shelves that span the cupboards of the upper section have a subtle bow at the ends and are applied with shaped and inlaid fronts. With an excellent, mellow color and patina throughout. Possibly from Shropshire.
