Regency Period Mahogany Bookcase-12' Long
A fine quality mahogany breakfronted bookcase of great size. The quality of construction is extraordinary with certain sections of the base completely fitted with several drawers. Other sections have document compartments and other sections are open with adjustable shelving. Tri-cluster columns are mounted to each of the doors. The astragals of the glazed doors form Gothic arches. The moldings of the lower doors consist of standard arches that intersect to form Gothic arches that echo those of the upper doors. The cornice and plinth have been restored.
